The goal of the “We Think Feminist” Club is to make a difference in the World by targeting issues such as under-education, trafficking, domestic violence, and sexual assault (etc.). The club will also discuss issues that surround women in the workplace and in society as a whole through stigma and stereotypes.

Some activities this club has participated in are organizing fundraisers/drives for the aforementioned issues, as well as, volunteering with various organizations in North Texas such as Genesis Women’s Shelter. In addition, this club hopes to have many more guest speakers in the future who are prominent people in our society who care about equality between women and men.

This club was created by Teesta Kasargod, a sophomore at the IB World School in Plano ISD, under the able guidance of teacher sponsor, Cynthia Tomotaki.
